WestVet Project

The veterinary center was housed in a 150 m² facility that adequately covered the basic operational needs of the business, including a surgery room, an X-ray department, and an examination room. Over time, however, the continuous growth of the practice and the increasing number of cases created the need for a larger and more efficiently organized space.

The demands of daily operations had surpassed the capabilities of the existing layout, as new requirements for equipment, specialized areas, and improved workflow needed to be incorporated into a modern veterinary environment.

At the same time, the intensive daily use of the facility and the constant presence of numerous pets had caused significant wear and tear to both surfaces and infrastructure, making a complete renovation necessary. The objective was to create an upgraded veterinary center that would combine functionality, durability, and a more modern experience for both staff and visitors.

The renovation of the veterinary center was based on a complete redesign of the premises, with the objective of creating a modern and efficiently organized environment capable of supporting the growing needs of the business.

The project involved the integration of two adjacent commercial units, increasing the total floor area from 150 m² to 225 m². The new layout was designed entirely from scratch using dry construction methods.

At the same time, new electrical and plumbing installations were implemented, tailored to the requirements of a modern healthcare facility. An alarm system and security cameras were also installed to ensure comprehensive coverage and protection of the premises. In addition, motorized blinds and awnings were fitted, enhancing both functionality and everyday comfort.

For the flooring, a healthcare-grade vinyl surface was selected, providing durability, easy maintenance, and a clean aesthetic appearance. The use of ceramic tiles on selected surfaces further reinforced the sense of cleanliness throughout the facility.

The project also included the design of the new storefront façade, aiming to create a more contemporary and upgraded visual identity, as well as a comprehensive lighting study to ensure the ideal balance between functionality and comfort in every area.

Finally, all furniture was custom-designed to meet the specific requirements of each individual space, creating a cohesive and ergonomically organized working environment.

Following the completion of the renovation, the veterinary center was transformed into a fully organized and modern 225 m² facility, designed to efficiently serve both the needs of the staff and the daily experience of visitors and their pets.

Thanks to the new space-planning study, the center now features four fully equipped examination rooms, each with its own workstation and the necessary equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient handling of cases. In addition, dedicated areas were created for surgery, radiology, and hematology departments, as well as a specially designed endoscopy unit.

The sanitary facilities and reception area were completely renovated, while the center’s pet shop was also redesigned. The new pet shop now offers a larger and more functional space, providing pet owners with easy access to products and everyday care supplies.

An accessible entrance ramp was constructed in accordance with current accessibility standards and regulations, ensuring safe and convenient access for all visitors.

The final interior design was based on achieving the right balance between functionality and a calming atmosphere. Through the careful selection of materials, colors, and lighting, a space was created that conveys cleanliness, trust, and friendliness, contributing to a more comfortable experience for both people and their pets.
